Getting started with SpecialsNear.Me
SpecialsNear.Me helps you discover local food and drink specials, happy hours, and events happening near you — right now or on any day you choose.
Browsing without an account
You don't need to sign up to explore. When you open the app you land directly on the interactive map. Every pin represents a business with at least one active special — tap or click any pin to see what's on offer.
What's available without an account:
- Browse the full map
- Read any special's details
- View any business's profile, hours, and active specials
Creating an account
An account lets you RSVP to events, save favorites, connect with friends, and keep a personal calendar of everything you want to attend.
- Click Sign In in the top-right corner.
- On the sign-in page, click “Don't have an account? Register.”
- Enter your full name, email address, and a password (minimum 8 characters). Confirm the password and click Create Account.
- You'll be redirected to sign in. Use the email and password you just created.
Prefer Google? Click Continue with Google on the sign-in page to create and log into an account instantly using your Google profile — no password needed. If you already have an account with the same email, Google sign-in links to it automatically.
Navigating the app
The navigation bar at the top of every page contains:

| Discover | Returns you to the map |
| Specials Calendar | Your personal calendar of events you're attending or watching (sign-in required) |
| Profile icon / avatar | Opens your profile page (sign-in required) |
| Sign In | Sign-in page (visible when logged out) |
Signing out
Click your avatar in the top-right corner, then select Sign Out from the dropdown.
